Job Responsibilities:

1. Visitor Engagement:

- Welcome and assist gallery visitors with information about current exhibitions, artists, and events.

- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a memorable experience for gallery guests.

2. Artwork Handling and Display:

- Assist in the installation and de-installation of artworks for exhibitions.

- Ensure proper handling and care of artworks, following gallery standards and guidelines.

3. Gallery Operations:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gallery space.

- Assist with administrative tasks, including record-keeping, inventory management, and sales transactions.

4. Event Support:

- Provide support during gallery events, openings, and special programs.

- Collaborate with the events team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for attendees.

5. Promotion and Marketing:

- Contribute ideas for social media content and assist in the promotion of gallery activities.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials for exhibitions and events.

Qualifications:

- Passion for contemporary art.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

- Basic computer skills; experience with art inventory software is a plus.

- Must be available to work high traffic days, which can vary with events.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in art, art history, or a related field preferred.

- Previous experience in a gallery or arts-related environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
